This was a bit before sunset at a place on the Mendocino coast where the sun shines through a natural tunnel and backlights the waves. The orange color at the base of the wave is the reflection of light shining through the top of the wave from behind, the blue is a reflection of the sky. I took the photo standing at the edge of the water using a telephoto lens and a shutter speed of 1/800 of a second to stop the motion.
