Blue and Orange Wave

This is at a place on the Mendocino coast where on clear days in winter the setting sun briefly shines through a natural tunnel and backlights the breaking waves. Using a telephoto lens, I stood on the beach and took the photo at a shutter speed of 1/800 of a second. I like the way the warm color of the sunlight mixes with the blue reflections of the overhead sky. What looks like sand in the top of the picture is actually the spray from the wave catching the light.
