These Sky Lupines were blooming in early April on a mountainside south of the town of Big Sur, CA. I had walked up the mountain on the Coast Ridge Road, a road that’s closed to most vehicles but open for hiking. It was a cold and windy sunset, and soon after the sun went down a thick fog came blowing up from below.
