This male Anna’s Hummingbird was guarding a patch of Indian Paintbrush flowers from the top of a bush on Hawkins Peak in Pinnacles National Park. Every few minutes it would fly down and chase other hummingbirds away from the flowers. It didn’t seem concerned about me at all though, I was able to set up my tripod and camera and photograph it from very close.
