This is light from the setting sun shining through a sea tunnel on the Mendocino coast of northern California. Since the tunnel opens to the south west, the sun can only shine through in late fall and winter. I took the photo late one afternoon when the waves were big and there was enough sea spray in the air to make the light visible.
