This is at the lower end of the grove of old growth coast redwoods in Montgomery Woods state park near Comptche, CA. I took the picture early one winter morning after a rainstorm when there was a thin mist drifting between the trees. The plants in the foreground are sword ferns and some shrubby bushes of tanoak.
